LOHANCOMPS — TERMS & CONDITIONS
Last updated: [DATE]
1. The Promoter
The promoter is [FULL LEGAL NAME / COMPANY NAME & NUMBER] trading as LohanComps, of [TRADING ADDRESS] (“we”, “us”). Contact: hello@lohancomps.co.uk.
2. The competitions
2.1 LohanComps operates prize competitions requiring the exercise of skill. Entry requires the correct answer to a skill-based question. Our competitions are not lotteries and are operated in accordance with the Gambling Act 2005.
2.2 Each competition page states the prize, the ticket price, the maximum number of entries, any per-person entry limit, the closing date, and the draw date. Those details form part of these terms for that competition.
3. Eligibility
3.1 Entrants must be 18 or over and resident in the United Kingdom.
3.2 Employees of the Promoter, and members of their immediate households, may not enter.
3.3 We may require proof of age, identity, and eligibility, and may withhold a prize until reasonable proof is provided.
4. How to enter (paid entry)
4.1 Choose a competition, select your ticket number(s) or use the Lucky Dip option, answer the skill question, and complete payment.
4.2 An entry is only valid if the skill question is answered correctly. Entries with an incorrect answer will not be entered into the draw, and the entry fee will not be refunded.
4.3 Your ticket number(s) will be confirmed by email and recorded in your account. In the event of any discrepancy, our records are final.
4.4 Entries per person are limited as stated on each competition page. We may void entries exceeding the limit, including entries made through multiple accounts.
5. Free entry route
5.1 You may enter any competition free of charge by sending your entry by first- or second-class post to: [POSTAL ADDRESS]. Your postal entry must include: your full name, address, date of birth, email address and telephone number, the name of the competition you wish to enter, and your answer to the skill question.
5.2 Each postal entry must be submitted on a separate postcard or letter and must be received before the closing date of the relevant competition. Bulk or photocopied entries will not be accepted.
5.3 Valid free postal entries are entered into the draw with the same chance of winning as paid entries and are subject to the same per-person limits and eligibility requirements. A free entrant will be allocated the next available ticket number.
6. Closing dates and changes
6.1 Each competition closes on the date stated or when all tickets have been allocated, whichever is earlier.
6.2 If a competition does not sell the minimum number of tickets stated (where applicable), we may extend the closing date [ONCE, by up to X days], draw the prize as stated, or offer a cash prize proportionate to ticket sales — as set out on the competition page. [SOLICITOR TO CONFIRM APPROACH — THIS CLAUSE MUST MATCH ACTUAL PRACTICE.]
7. The draw and winners
7.1 Winners are selected by random draw from all valid entries, conducted live on our social media channels on the stated draw date.
7.2 The winning ticket number and the winner’s first name and surname initial will be announced on our website and social channels.
7.3 We will contact the winner using the account (or postal entry) details provided within [7] days of the draw. If we cannot reach the winner, or the winner does not respond within [14] days of first contact, we reserve the right to draw an alternative winner, and the original winner will forfeit the prize.
8. Prizes
8.1 The prize is as described on the competition page. Prize images are for illustration; the actual prize is as specified in the description.
8.2 Where stated, a cash alternative is available at the amount shown on the competition page. The choice between the prize and any cash alternative is the winner’s.
8.3 Prizes are delivered free of charge within the UK, insured, within [28] days of winner confirmation, unless otherwise stated. Where a prize requires registration, insurance, or ongoing running costs (e.g. vehicles), these are the winner’s responsibility unless stated otherwise.
8.4 Prizes are not transferable and cannot be exchanged except as stated in these terms.
9. Winner publicity
9.1 By entering, you agree that if you win we may publish your first name, surname initial, general location (e.g. county), winning ticket number, and the prize won.
9.2 We may ask winners to take part in publicity (photos or videos with the prize). Participation is voluntary and subject to your agreement.
10. Accounts and conduct
10.1 You are responsible for keeping your account details accurate and secure. One account per person.
10.2 We may suspend accounts, void entries, and withhold prizes where we reasonably believe there has been fraud, abuse of the free entry route, use of multiple accounts, automated entries, or any breach of these terms. Where entries are voided for breach, entry fees are not refundable.
11. Payments and refunds
11.1 Payment is taken at checkout via the payment methods shown on the site.
11.2 Because each entry gives you a chance of winning in a specific draw, entries cannot be cancelled or refunded once submitted, except where required by law or where a competition is cancelled by us — in which case entry fees for that competition will be refunded.
11.3 You must be the account holder of the payment method used.
12. Liability
12.1 Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be limited by law.
12.2 Subject to 12.1, we are not liable for entries that are lost, delayed, or not received due to technical failures or events beyond our reasonable control, and our total liability to any entrant in connection with a competition is limited to the amount paid by that entrant to enter it.
12.3 We are not responsible for postal entries lost or delayed in the post; proof of posting is not proof of receipt.
13. Responsible play
13.1 Please only spend what you can afford. Per-person limits apply to every competition. If you feel your participation is becoming a problem, contact us to discuss account restrictions, and see our Responsible Play page for support resources.
14. Data protection
14.1 We process personal information as described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
15. General
15.1 If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remainder continue in force.
15.2 These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales [OR: Scotland — SOLICITOR TO CONFIRM GIVEN PROMOTER LOCATION], and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction.
15.3 We may update these terms from time to time; the version in force at the time of your entry applies to that entry.
